VACANCIES FOR ACADEMIC AND NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

1. ACADEMIC STAFF
(a) Professor
(b) Reader
(c) Senior Lecturer
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONS
(i) PROFESSOR (AUAASS 07): A Ph.D. Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of twelve (12) years of University/Research Institution experience in full-time teaching and research. Candidate must possess ability to initiate and supervise research projects and have at least 25 significant peer reviewed scholarly publications in reputable National and International outlets with membership of relevant professional bodies where applicable. Administrative experience will be an added advantage. Candidate must be able to give academic and professional leadership in the discipline. Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.
(ii) READER (AUAASS 06): A Ph.D. Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of nine (9) years of University/Research Institution experience in full-time teaching and research and at least 20 significant peer reviewed scholarly publications in reputable National and International outlets with membership of relevant professional bodies where applicable. Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.
(iii) SENIOR LECTURER (AUAASS 05): A Ph.D. Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of six (6) years of University/Research Institution experience in full-time teaching, research and administration plus at least 12 significant scholarly publications in National and International peer reviewed Journals. Candidate must show ability to develop and execute research projects and must show evidence of research direction. Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.
NON-TEACHING STAFF
Please note that computer literacy and the possession of NYSC Discharged Certificate/Certificate of Exemption are mandatory where applicable.
A. SECURITY DEPARTMENT
Chief Security Officer (AUANTSS 13): Candidate must satisfy the following conditions- possesses at least First Degree in any field of study; have attained the rank of Colonel in the Nigerian Army or equivalent rank in any other security outfits; have held commanding positions in the security outfits he/she served; have been in senior military or paramilitary cadre for not less than fifteen (15) years Or Candidate should possess a good degree in any field from a recognized institution with a Certificate in Security Training with NYSC Discharged Certificate or evidence of Exemption.
He/She should have a minimum of nineteen (19) years working experience, preferably in a tertiary institution.
B. UNIVERSITY HEALTH SERVICES
Medical Officer 1 (AUANTSS 10): Candidate must possess a degree in Medicine and evidence of registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCAN) with relevant years of post-registration cognate experience. Candidate must be computer literate.
C. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
Senior System Analyst (AUANTSS 8): A good Honours Degree in Computer Science/Informatics or other relevant discipline with formal training in System Analysis and Computer Programming with a minimum Two (2) years additional experience in Computer Applications.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The appointment which is for a probationary period of two years in the first instance and may be confirmed to retiring age. Salaries are very attractive and competitive. Other conditions are as contained in the approved Condition of Service by the Governing Council of Aletheia University, Ago-Iwoye.
