Bursar's Short Biography
Mr. Akanji holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and also possesses another Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University (Ago-Iwoye), graduating with a First Class Honour.
Mr. Akanji’s professional expertise has earned him honours and recognitions. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI). He started his career as a Consultant on Public accounts audit, then moved shortly to the academics as Lecturer and later joined the University Bursary Financial services. He has over 19 years working experience in University financial administration and has attended several professional trainings, conferences, workshops and seminars within and outside Nigeria.
Mr. Akanji Kayode Idris
Suffice it to mention the International Workshop on Re-Engineering Higher Education Leadership by Pinnacle Mentors Consult, held in Dubai, UAE, which he attended in 2019, among others.
His professional training and exposure span from audit practices, taxation, management and corporate finance and consultancy. He is a Lead Assessor for the Professional Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) since 2002 to date. Currently, he is the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode and District Society of ICAN.
Mr. Akanji, who is married with children, loves travelling, reading and playing tennis.
