At Aletheia University (AU), the programme will run for one academic session to prepare students for UTME/Post-UTME examinations towards admission into 100 Levels of various degree programmes as well as to prepare students who have deficiencies in one or two O’level subjects.
Candidates who could not secure provisional admission into AU degree programmes or the degree programmes of other recognized universities due to low performance in UTME and post-UTME are particularly encouraged to enroll in the pre-degree programme.
To be considered for AU’s pre-degree admissions, candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 Credits: Candidates must possess a minimum of five Credits in five subjects at a maximum of two sittings.
2. Subject Requirements: English Language is mandatory for all courses, Mathematics is required for Science-based and Social/Management Science-based courses, and Literature-in-English is essential for Arts-based courses.
Objective
The objectives of the AU Pre-Degree Programme include the following:
1. Prepare students for further studies.
2. Assists and prepares students for admission into the various degree programs so long as such students present a fresh acceptable JAMB score. This means that such students will not have to write the Post-UME of AU before being accepted into 100L.
3. Prepares students who will want to apply to other Universities for those courses that are not offered at AU.
4. The program offers students a very congenial platform for getting used to AU’s life and culture to help such students have a smooth transition and integration into the degree program without any hassles.
5. Opportunities for Pre-Degree Programme candidates to gain admissions into any of our undergraduate academic programmes on successful completion of programme.
Commencement Period
The AU Pre-Degree Programme will start in 2024/2025 academic session and successful student will resume academic activities in September/October 2024.
